Brackets (mounts) for mounting optical and collimator sights on weapons.
Due to the variety of assortment, mounting rings and monoblocks, weaver and picatinny rails, AK / SVD side mount brackets, saddle brackets, other brackets and mounts are listed in the appropriate sections.
Arms for sights are mounts that have their own rigid fixation between the support points of the sight. Do not confuse brackets with rings for sights (or racks), because the bracket should have a base that is mounted on the seats of the receiver (Swallowtail trims, Weaver and Picatini strips, side strips or the base of quick-detachable mounts). Brackets are designed for mounting optical, collimator and night sights, as well as for installing night monoculars together with collimator sights on weapons. The brackets are recommended for installation on any type of weapon with an upper mounting dovetail (11 mm) or Weaver (Weaver - 21 mm). Special mounts covering the barrel allow you to set sights on smoothbore weapons.
Rings, as a rule, have a diameter of 25.4, 30 or 35 mm. In addition, there are mounts for fixing various prisms (such as the LM prism), on which, as a rule, night sights are mounted. Planks are divided into:
Plank Dovetail, Plank Weaver (Weaver), and Picatini are mounted on weapons for mounting various sights, including collimator, optical and night.
To install the bar on the receiver, it is desirable to know its radius. Some types of weapons have threaded holes on the receiver, allowing you to set the bar to a specific type of weapon.
Choosing the mount of the sight, it is necessary to take into account the type of seat on the smooth-bore gun or rifle, the landing diameters of the sight, as well as the necessary installation height between the axes of the sight to the axis of the guide bar.
